Meet Hannah…
Hannah Barrett is a Creative Content Strategist specializing in crafting engaging, human-centered digital experiences. She blends creative direction, conversation design, and brand storytelling to create intuitive solutions that enhance how people interact with AI-powered technology.
Her career began in public relations and marketing, where she honed her skills in storytelling, brand voice, and audience engagement. Now, she applies that expertise to UX writing and conversation design, shaping seamless, user-centered content that transforms digital interfaces, AI conversations, and brand experiences.
As the former personality behind Amazon Alexa in the United Kingdom and United States, Hannah has shaped the way millions of users engage with voice technology. A skilled conversation and experience designer, she excels in writing for voice (VUI) and crafting simple yet delightful interactions that meaningfully improve customer experiences. Her expertise spans AI conversation design, UX writing, chatbot development, and content strategy, ensuring that every interaction—whether through text or voice—feels natural, engaging, and effortless.
With a talent for partnership management and relationship-building, Hannah collaborates closely with teams to bring brands to life through strategic, engaging, and results-driven experiences.
Over the past 15+ years, she has worked with leading brands in the retail and technology sectors across both the UK and the US, shaping next-generation AI-powered experiences that blend clarity, creativity, and innovation.
When not working, Hannah enjoys staying active - hiking the trails of the Pacific Northwest, paddle boarding and strengthening both body and mind at the bouldering gym or on the yoga mat. She’s a passionate reader, often found with a book in hand during quieter moments. At Amazon, she leads an AI-themed book club that brings colleagues together to explore the future of technology through thought-provoking reads.
Comedy is one of Hannah’s favorite forms of storytelling. Laughter keeps her grounded and inspired, and she looks to find joy and humor as a way to build connection. She regularly attends comedy shows, occasionally steps on stage, and writes sketches inspired by the awkward, weird, and wonderful moments of everyday life.
From conversation flows to comedy shows, Hannah brings insight, empathy, and a deep understanding of what resonates with people in life and work. Curiosity guides her — on the trail, on the page, and in every interaction.
